Mayor’s Civic Service – Sunday 6th September 2026

On Sunday 6th of September, the Civic Service for the Mayor of St Davids, Cllr Sarah Foster, was held at the beautiful St Davids Cathedral. Supported by her consort, Mrs. Sue de Silva and members of St Davids City Council, the service focussed on the importance of community, collaboration and supporting one another.

A large gathering of Civic guests and Mayors from Pembrokeshire, including, Deputy Lieutenant of Dyfed, Mr Roger Bryan Smith, Henry Tuffnell MP and local leaders, Chair of Pembrokeshire County Council, Cllr Delme Harries, the Chair of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Dr Madeleine Havard and Headmaster of Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi, Mr Sion Mason-Evans, attended along with family and friends.

The exceptional service, officiated by the Mayor’s Chaplain, Rev’d Canon Pastor Sheridan James, was enriched by the beautiful singing of the Cathedral choir. A special thanks to all involved at St Davids Cathedral, for organising this significant event in the Council’s calendar.
