✨St Davids City Council Warm Hub has now come to an end✨
The warm hub at the city hall in St David’s has now come to an end.
It has been a very successful scheme with so many lovely people attending each week.
From Bacon rolls and crumpets on a Monday to delicious homemade soups and bread on a Thursday.
When we started the Warm hub we didn’t realise how popular it would be, from starting off with around 25 people to finishing on a high with 70 at the final soup Thursday.
We have had visitors call in to see us who have appreciated a friendly face and a warm space. One lady said Wales is beautiful but so are the people in it! Such a lovely comment.
Looking back over the last 4 months it has made us realise that company is so important… yes the soup is delicious with Carol-Anne’s fresh bread and Jo’s gluten free sponge. But it’s being with people, that reason to get your shoes on and come out of the house.
The volunteers we have had to help has been absolutely amazing every shift covered and we have made new friends.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your time and commitment to help run the warm room hub. Without you it wouldn’t happen.
This scheme was made possible with grant money received from SCAF Round 9 Community Warm Spaces Fund, together with generous food donations and of course the brilliant volunteers.
Diolch yn fawr iawn!
Remember the warm hub scheme has now finished but we still are running:
Coffee and chat on Wednesday mornings from 10.00am – 12.00pm in the Youth Drop in Centre (rear of the City Hall)
Tea and talk on Thursday mornings 9.30am -11.30am in the Memorial Hall
Please call in to see us, all welcome!
